Founded in 1875, the Digoin sandstone and pottery factory was originally a family business founded on the banks of the central canal in Burgundy. Around 1900, the region of Digoin and Paray-le-Monial, called the “valley of ceramics”, housed around forty factories, each with specific know-how (making tiles, bricks, tiling).
Since 1875, the Manufacture de Digoin - Stoneware & Pottery shapes everyday objects in stoneware: vinegar pots, fountains, percolators, grease pots, salting pots, mustard pots, terrines, pitchers, jugs, cheese dishes, yoghurt pots ...
Sleeping beauty for several years, the Manufacture came back to life in 2014, when Corinne Jourdain brings together several investors to save the company with the ambition of perpetuating historical know-how and restoring their credentials to meaningful culinary objects, borrowed from history.
