Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen celebrates Arne Jacobsen's love for nature by launching an exceptional outdoor lamp. The AJ Garden Borne line is a variation of the famous AJ Table Lamp model that will bring a resolutely designer touch to your garden.
Since 1874, the Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen has been creating exceptional lighting in collaboration with renowned designers. This spring, the company is releasing a series of outdoor lamps in tribute to Arne Jacobsen's love for nature and gardens.
In 1960, the Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen completely designed the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, for which he notably designed the cult Swan and Egg armchairs, as well as the AJ Lamp lights manufactured by Louis Poulsen.
Arne Jacobsen spent a lot of time observing nature, which was his great source of inspiration. The name of his creations evokes this passion: Swan, Egg, Ant, Drop... Moreover, his passion for botany also led him to design several gardens, including those of his three properties. Sixty-three years later, Louis Poulsen pays tribute to his designer's passion for nature by producing an outdoor version of the SAS table lamps.
" If I had a new life, I would be a gardener. " Arne Jacobsen
In 2010, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the SAS hotel, Louis Poulsen was already producing an outdoor wall lamp. The AJ Garden Borne completes the range this year. The lamp emits a downward directed light, characteristic of the AJ lamp series, which makes it an optimal guide light along driveways, paths or around buildings. It blends in perfectly with the landscape while bringing a contemporary touch to the garden. And its three possible installation modes allow it to be installed almost anywhere.
AJ Garden Borne will be available in stores from spring 2023.
