Gestalten is publishing a work dedicated to cabins. This booming construction is a new refuge that awakens primary instincts in us and echoes our first habitats. It contributes to our need for simplicity and disconnection. But the new generation cabins are now real miniature architectural gems that Cabin Fever invites us to discover through some forty projects.
The Berlin publisher, specializing in Lifestyle books, publishes a work dedicated to cabins. Wherever they are nestled, in lush forests, facing the sea or in the middle of the desert, the cabins have become real habitats. Today, they no longer take on the former rustic and rudimentary aspect. From now on, architects are striving to design real living spaces but on a smaller scale. On stilts, perched in the trees, rounded frame in the desert or hanged in the mountains, in wood, concrete or sheet metal, Cabin Fever presents a new wave of modern, fully-equipped shelters across the planet and far from the urban bustle.
