Above Ehrwald in Austria, on a plateau accessible only by cable car—or, off-season, by snowmobile—Hotel Eriro immediately stands out. This small mountain haven offers a contemporary take on the alpine refuge: no kitsch, no decorative excess, just precise architecture, expertly handled raw materials, and understated luxury, where tranquility is curated down to the smallest detail. Every line, window, and texture is designed to highlight the surrounding landscape and deliver a mountain experience that is both modern and deeply sensory.

Perched at 1,550 meters on the Ehrwald plateau, Hotel Eriro stands out for its clean, precise architecture. Designed as a contemporary chalet-refuge, it blends seamlessly into the landscape of Tyrolean meadows and rocky outcrops. Sharp lines, minimalist geometry, and natural materials evoke the spirit of a high-end alpine cabin. Expansive windows create a seamless connection between inside and out, flooding every space with light and the surrounding alpine panorama.

The lobby immediately sets the tone: spacious and uncluttered, it revolves around a contemporary fireplace, where the flames serve as a warm focal point. Minimal yet comfortable furnishings are complemented by soft textiles, adding a sense of coziness and enveloping comfort. Every detail is designed to create a coherent, welcoming, and refined atmosphere, without any decorative excess.

With just nine suites, Hotel Eriro embraces intimacy. Each is organized around a simple layout: expansive views, integrated elements, hidden storage, and bathrooms designed as architectural blocks. The absence of screens or visual distractions focuses the experience on what truly matters—the view, comfort, and the quality of materials. The landscape becomes the focal point, framed like a living painting.

" A small mountain jewel where understated luxury and carefully curated tranquility highlight the landscape and the sensory experience of the mountains. "

The restaurant offers local cuisine, clear and impeccably executed. Ingredients come from nearby farms and ranches and are prepared with simplicity, free of artifice. Each dish is structured and precise, honoring seasonality and the authenticity of the produce. The dining experience naturally reflects the hotel’s identity: sincere and refined.
Wellness
Hotel Eriro’s spa opens onto a terrace seamlessly integrated into the alpine landscape. The décor balances mineral and natural elements: stone, light wood, and greenery create a clean, contemporary atmosphere. A floor of small, smooth stones invites barefoot walking, while three pools and canvas hammocks suspended above add to the ultra-zen ambiance. Finnish and spruce saunas follow one another, with direct access to a cascade shower and the terrace, providing a complete relaxation experience. Private massages are offered in the Lebenti room, under the hotel’s roof, with a balcony overlooking the Wetterstein massif, blending natural sensations with minimalist design.
