After working for Parfums Christian Dior and Shiseido, Lindsay Azpitarte created Ulé, an in & out natural cosmetics brand. The products are made from plants grown in the brand's own vertical eco-farm in the Paris region. Clean products with impeccable packaging that you can't live without! We were therefore very interested to know all the beauty tips of its founder.
INTERVIEW
1 - Hi Lindsay, can you quickly introduce yourself?
" I am American but I have lived in France for 23 years. So I consider myself Franco-American! I grew up in Florida and studied urban planning at Columbia University in New York. I came to work in France and I had the chance to join Christian Dior perfumes, in the merchandising department. It was a very good experience but I quickly realized that I was very interested in marketing; I then joined the skincare product development department. After a parenthesis at Lou Paris, I joined Shisheido, where I worked for ten years until the launch of Ulé in 2022."
2 - What are your cult beauty products, the basics?
" I am a complete fan of the Ulé Oh la plump serum. I put it on in the morning, in the evening and even sometimes during the day...It gives a real boost when the complexion is dull or tired! Also, I can't part with my Nars lip liner, Velvet Mat - Dragon Girl. that enhances the complexion in all circumstances. My third cult product is a serum that I apply to the ends of my hair instead of the conditioner. This is the Tokio Inkarami care oil. My hairdresser recommended it to me and I can't live without it! "
3 - What are your morning and evening skincare routines?
" Every morning, I cleanse my face with Ulé Dream of Pure Cleansing Gel. I then apply the Oh la plump serum and then the Amour de Repair hydra-fortifying cream. I then systematically finish with a sunscreen, Shisheido (UV protective compact foundation SPF30) or Supergoop.
In the evening, I always remove my make-up with the Rêve of Pure cleansing gel from Ulé, then I apply the Joie de Youth serum and my Ulé anti-aging cream. And I finish with 2 drops of Have it All that I apply like a mask."
4 - Do you have a beauty secret? A homemade recipe?
" I don't really have a homemade beauty recipe. I would say that my secret is to be consistent in my routine and to apply it systematically every day in order to be able to measure the effects. Another secret is to hydrate imperatively."

5 - Have you borrowed a product or ritual from your mother or grandmother?
" We have a real family ritual that is passed down from mother to daughter. Coming from Florida, we have all been applying SPF sun care from a very young age. It is imperative in this subtropical region but I kept this habit in Paris where the climate is very different! "
6 - You are American. What are the beauty obsessions of Americans or habits that French women do not have?
" Americans are obsessed with "hygiene". The term "Clean Beauty" perfectly expresses this concept. Hair, teeth, skin, nails...everything must be impeccable. In the United States, exfoliation is essential! "
7- What are your favorite beauty addresses?
" I follow Chloé Brasé's yoga classes from Chita Studio in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. Of course, I love the spa at the Too Hôtel in the 13th arrondissement, which uses Ulé for its treatments. The spa is exactly in the colors of Ulé in pinks and greens."
8 - Where do you like to relax in France?
" I love the oceanic climate of Morbihan, the Basque Country, Ireland or Scotland where I take long walks. I love to walk and I can spend hours in the middle of these landscapes and the elements of these regions. Every summer I take a family vacation to Cape Cod, Massachusetts; cycling, swimming...a very natural holidays."
