Chef David Gallienne is opening just nearby his starred restaurant, a guest house with six rooms, an apartment and a tea room nestled in a millstone house from the turn of the century. A calm and immaculate hygge atmosphere that pays homage to the historic milkman of Giverny and the former owner of the property. Ô Plume'art, a gentle and well-being break to savor over a bucolic weekend.
It is in a building typical of the 1900s that the chef David Gallienne, together with the architect Philippe Papy and Mathilde Vercruysse, imagined a soft and zen interior echoing both his emblematic logo and the history of the place. A milky atmosphere reigns in the house once occupied by the village creamer. The guest house offers six rooms and an apartment which have been entirely designed in off-white shades, giving a relaxing atmosphere conducive to disconnection. Blond woods, waxed concrete, natural fabrics, vintage objects and old paintings complete the decorative concept.
Everything is studied so that guests spend a moment of absolute relaxation, from the volumes of the rooms to the choice of furniture designed to relax the body, while the simplicity and whiteness of the place soothe the mind. And to enjoy a total relaxation experience, a wellness area with sauna, jacuzzi and massage room will be set up soon. Enough to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and fully enjoy the charms of the countryside.
And relaxation keep on outside the house. Stroll in the garden, drink a coffee on the terrace or walk through the alleys of Giverny to reach the gardens of the Claude Monet Foundation and admire the works of the Master, then cross the street and discover the Museum of Impressionisms (former Art Museum American) and its contemporary garden. And extend the walk to the meanders of the Seine and admire the Vexin Regional Natural Park.
The tea room will open in April 2022, the opportunity to discover its menu imagined around milk, to drink an infusion of herbs or to savor the chef's famous rosebush. And the icing on the cake, the winner of Top Chef will give cooking lessons himself.
Extend the sensory experience and the well-being break with Whatmatters cosmetic products in your bathroom with its ultra-sleek architecture. In the morning, open the shutters overlooking the garden, and enjoy the rural charm offered by this idyllic setting.
If you come to Giverny by train, you will have the chance to take the shuttle offered by the establishment, boarding an authentic Peugeot 203 completely renovated, a ride that will give you a taste of the poetic and authentic stay that waiting for you.
