We are very happy to share the wellness routine from Charlotte Gomez de Orozco, the founder of the most holistic spot in Paris, the Hoy hotel. Between practicality and natural cosmetics, Charlotte reveals all her well-being advice to us.

INTERVIEW


1 - Hi Charlotte, can you quickly introduce yourself?

" I am Charlotte, Franco-Mexican and the 3rd generation of hotelier in my family. After finishing a hotel school in Switzerland, I quickly opened my wine bar in Paris. A few years later, I opened HOY, the first yoga hotel in the capital. HOY includes 20 rooms, all designed around well-being and yoga, as well as three treatment rooms. Far from traditional spas, the “CARE ROOM” only offers holistic and energetic therapies. No televisions in the rooms, a zero plastic objective and a reduction in waste. HOY also offers a 100% plant-based restaurant, with an emphasis on “food as medicine”. In addition, we have a florist at the entrance and manual, meditation and well-being workshops throughout the year. HOY is part of a new generation of hotels, more eco-responsible, caring towards our environmental but also human impact, offering a more lively and diversified hotel experience. "


2 - What are your cult beauty products, the basics?

"My cult beauty products are rose oil and rose water! I use rose water from Naked shop, in bulk, and rose oil from Alaena. These rose-based products are true multitaskers: they act as antioxidants to prevent signs of aging, while regulating sebum production to prevent unwanted shine. Plus, their sweet floral scent is a true pleasure for the senses."


3 - What are your morning and evening skincare routines?

“ In the morning, I apply the Alaena day cream, and sometimes, when the weather is nice, I add a drop of sunscreen to protect my skin.

Every evening, after cleansing my face with DHC cleansing oil, I apply a few drops of rose oil to deeply hydrate my skin and give it a natural glow the next day. Rose water is also a must-have in my routine. I use it as a toner after cleansing to soothe my skin and reduce redness.


4 - Do you have a beauty secret? A homemade recipe?

" My beauty secret is inhalations! I boil water with lemon and ginger, then place a towel over my head to catch the water mist. I stay like this for 5-7 minutes, which provides instant skin refreshing, deep pore cleansing, stimulation of blood circulation for more radiant skin, antibacterial properties to fight blemishes, as well as a toning and revitalizing effect thanks to the properties of lemon and ginger. And this moment allows you to meditate for 5 minutes. "







5 - Have you borrowed a product or ritual from your mother or grandmother?

"A beauty gesture! I put a line of black pencil only on half of the eye, inspired by my mother or my grandmother, which illuminates the eyes. Then, I was always raised natural, the least, the best! "


6 - What is your latest wellness discovery that you love?

" My last wellness discovery that I recommend is Reformer Pilates. Also, at HOY, we offer medicinal plant workshops based on certain themes, such as sleep and silhouette, with tea cures to drink for a month. Plants support our body and our organism, and their effects on the body are immediate! "


7- What are your favorite beauty addresses?

"My favorite beauty addresses include Yuj for yoga, The New Me for Pilates, our treatment rooms at HOY for energetic massages, Lanqi Spa for deep Chinese massages, my top secret hairdresser on avenue de la Grande Armée who calls Sandro, as well as Maison Alaena for all beauty products and Naked Shop for bulk products and basic oils."


8 - Where do you like to relax in France?

“ I like to go to Corsica and the mountains to recharge my batteries, but if I can't leave, spending an hour at the HOY florist is enough for me!”


9 - What “Hoy” beauty tips do you recommend to our readers to look radiant next spring?

" I recommend going to the osteopath four times a year, once a season, to minimize the physical consequences of all our emotional ailments stored in the body, as well as poor posture and too much screen time. An hour with an osteoenergetic restores all energies, which has a positive impact on external beauty. In addition, stretching and doing 15 minutes of sport or yoga in the morning helps loosen muscles, relax tense areas and relieve aches and pains. Finally, a herbal cure with our therapist Francesca would be beneficial!”
