Pauline and Paul are the happy hosts of Le Détour guest house located in the Touraine countryside. Former Parisians exiled in the Loire Valley, they lovingly renovated a charming barn bathed in light and open on all sides to omnipresent nature.
It took two years of work for Pauline Lemoine and Paul Gross to transform a barn in Indre-et-Loire into a contemporary and friendly guest house. With the help of architect Samuel Crosnier and local craftsmen, they were able to create a modern envelope while retaining the bucolic charm and soul of the place. The new hosts now welcome you to their large house where life is good, and guarantee you wonderful moments of relaxation.
These former city dwellers chose to settle down in Touraine for its fabulous gardens, its magical castles and its colorful vineyards varieties. Thus, the house is the starting point for numerous activities for nature, wine tourism and history enthusiasts. Solo, with family or friends, explore Le Jardin de la France and the banks of the Loire by bike and enjoy everything that Touraine Nature can offer you. Pauline reveals her most beautiful addresses...

It is the largest monastic city in Europe. The architecture is in the spotlight with almost empty rooms which allow you to admire the construction work that was done there. There is also a close link with art here, thanks to the modern art museum which has existed since 2021 but also thanks to a multidisciplinary program which hosts exhibitions throughout the year.
