The Scribner's is a refuge that is both contemporary and historic. Completely renovated in 2016 by the New York agency Studio Tack, the hotel offers the cozy and retro comfort of chalets cleverly combined with modern interior design: 38 rooms, the bar-restaurant The Prospect and the outdoor swimming pool make up the building which has kept the original structure and whose decorative concept is based on a key word: conviviality.

The lodge

The entire hotel is decorated with vintage pieces, photographs hanging on the walls, custom-designed furniture and modern amenities that give the whole a simple, elegant and cool atmosphere. The rooms, of varying sizes and layouts, have all been designed on the same sober and natural pattern with whitewashed walls, dark maple floors, and bathrooms fitted with terracotta tiles and specially designed cosmetics created for the Scribner's. Most rooms have large windows and private terraces opened to the Catskills Mountains.

The hotel's bar and restaurant - The Prospect - offers mountain cuisine prepared by the Esme team in Brooklyn using fresh food sourced from neighboring farms. A "modern country" design with large bay windows and a terrace offering a breathtaking view of the sunset behind the mountains.

The huge Scribner's park calls for relaxation and contemplation. Several firepits allow you to enjoy the environment in all seasons, while the very sixties outdoor swimming pool invites you to laze around in a bucolic setting.
